Aftercare

Aftercare Instructions

Aftercare Instructions
  1. Leave the bandage on until the morning after your session.
  2. Wash gently with a clean cloth and a mild, fragrance-free soap (Dove, Ivory, or Spectro Gel are all good choices) to clear away any blood, ink, or ointment residue.
  3. Pat dry with a clean towel or a lint-free paper towel — don't rub.
  4. For the first three to four days, keep it clean and dry: quick showers, no soaking.
  5. Wash gently once a day with mild soap, then pat dry right away.
  6. After day three or four, start applying a thin layer of water-based, fragrance-free lotion (we like Lubriderm) once or twice a day until it's fully healed.
  7. Always wash your hands before touching it to apply lotion.

Avoid picking at scabs, direct sun, tanning beds, and soaking in water (pools, baths, hot tubs) until it's healed. Truthfully, the less you do to a new tattoo, the better it tends to heal — your body knows what it's doing.

If anything looks or feels wrong, reach out to us or see a doctor — we're always happy to help.
